Jon Easter joined the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in January 2016 as Professor of the Practice and Director, Center for Medication Optimization through Practice and Policy. CMOPP creates real-world research, generates evidence, and disseminates best practices to integrate medication optimization into value-based healthcare models.
Previously, Jon spent 20 years at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), where he primarily worked in health policy. His team focused on care coordination and medication management policy development by implementing a patient-centered medical home project and co-authoring a predictive analytics pilot. Jon has a B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Georgia and is a registered pharmacist.
