As Director of Pharmacy Operations for Kroger Health, Doug oversees the daily functioning of and strategic initiatives for the Kroger Co.’s pharmacy line of business. He is a driving force behind Kroger’s award-winning “A World of Care In Store” campaign, which educates customers about available in-store health services—from vaccinations to test and treat services —delivered through one convenient retail environment.
Having been in pharmacy since 1986, Doug is a dynamic healthcare leader with extensive experience steering Kroger Health’s pharmacy network, which includes over 2,200 pharmacies across 35 states and five central fill locations serving millions annually.
Doug’s leadership reflects a vision of accessible, customer-centered pharmacy care—melding retail convenience with clinical rigor. Kroger Health continues to evolve as a trusted care destination where patients can access holistic wellness services where they shop. Doug and Kroger were recognized as the 2022 Good Government Award and American Pharmacist Association Immunization Champion Award recipient, adding to decades of recognition for good work in the communities they operate.
Doug earned his bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from The Ohio State University in 1992. He has completed several certificate programs including immunizations, diabetes coaching, longevity, and functional medicine.
