Ilisa Bernstein, PharmD, JD, FAPhA, is President of Bernstein Rx Solutions, LLC, where she advises life sciences organizations on complex FDA and pharmacy regulatory issues. A nationally recognized leader in drug regulation and compliance, she brings more than 35 years of experience spanning government, nonprofit, and private sectors. Dr. Bernstein dedicated over 30 years to the FDA serving in senior leadership, including as Deputy Director of CDER’s Office of Compliance and Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of the Commissioner. She shaped national compliance policy and enforcement strategies across all aspects of drug regulation. She later served as the 14th CEO and Executive Vice President of the American Pharmacists Association, becoming the first woman to lead the organization in its 172-year history. She is also Principal & Co-Founder of Compounding Strategy Advisors, LLC, and serves on the Board of Trustees of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP).
