As Hy-Vee’s vice president of pharmacy, Angie Nelson oversees nearly 275 retail pharmacies across the Midwest and is committed to increasing health care access for patients.
Angie has led a number of health innovations throughout her career including digital pharmacy solutions, mobile health services and AI machine-learning models to improve patient adherence. Most recently, Angie has helped lead the grocery retailer’s Food is Medicine program, which combines Hy-Vee’s dietitian, pharmacy and clinical services to help patients manage chronic health conditions. Angie earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
